Work is performed under regular supervision.brbr/ph2Position Duties/h2pstronguTYPICAL FUNCTIONS:/u/strongbrProvides support and assistance to law enforcement personnel, concerning mental health related issues;brProvides resources and intervention to subjects in crisis;brConducts risk assessment and referrals for treatment;brProvides support, education and guidance to the referred individual and family;brManages workload as assigned;brRequires work in the field alongside law enforcement personnel.brbrstronguRELATED FUNCTIONS:/u/strongbrVisits community resource facilities in the area;brProvides training and acts as a community liaison;brPerforms related tasks as required;brOther duties as assigned./ph2Minimum Qualifications/h2pThorough knowledge in the field of mental health, risk assessment and management, and crisis intervention. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other law enforcement personnel and mental health professionals. Ability to communicate with individuals in crisis.
