Position Overview: Specialty : Internal Medicine - Cardiology Location : Near Gig Harbor, WA Start Date : ASAP Contract Length : Ongoing, with an expected duration until May 1, 2025 Position Type : Locum Tenens Shift Type : Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call Key Responsibilities: Patient Care : Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to inpatients. Manage a patient load of 15-18 patients per shift, focusing on diagnostic and therapeutic cardiology. Collaborate with advanced practice clinicians and specialized cardiology teams, including EP and interventional cardiology, to deliver high-quality care. Coverage : Work Monday through Thursday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with some night call duties. Cover 2-3 weekends over the assignment period (Friday 7 AM to Monday 7 AM). Engage in both direct patient care and consultative services as needed. Practice Details: Support Staff : Supported by an experienced team including advanced practice clinicians, EP, and interventional cardiology. EMR System : Experience with Epic is preferred, but training will be provided if necessary. Board Certification : Must be board certified in Internal Medicine with a specialty in Cardiology. Licensure : Must hold or be willing to obtain a Washington medical license or qualify through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Certification Requirements : Board Certification in Internal Medicine - Cardiology is required. BLS, ACLS, and other certifications are not required for this position. Practice Setting : The role is exclusively inpatient with no outpatient duties required. No admissions are required, but hospital privileges must be obtained. Why This Opportunity?
