Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Fairfax, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) or Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD). This role involves providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients struggling with opioid dependency, utilizing evidence-based practices to support recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with opioid use disorder.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that include medication-assisted treatment.
- Prescribe and manage medications for opioid use disorder in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress, including medication adherence and response to treatment.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about opioid use disorder and treatment options.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure the best outcomes for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of opioid use disorder treatment.
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
- DEA certification.
- Virginia license or willingness to obtain licensure in Virginia.
- Proven experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) or Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
