Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Carlsbad, NM, requiring 2+ years of experience and a NM or compact RN license.

Details\n

• General medical-surgical inpatient unit, with potential assignment to the rehab unit
\n
• Occasional non-critical pediatric patients may be present on the floor
\n
• Patient ratio of 1:6
\n
• Day shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
\n
• Floating and on-call required; on-call is limited to census flex prior to the start of a scheduled shift
\n
• 13-week contract
\n
• EMR: MedHost
\n
• Scrubs: any color
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active NM RN license or compact RN license required
\n
• Current BLS certification required
\n
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred
\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
\n
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
\n
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
\n
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
\n
• US Social Security Number required
\n

• Fingerprinting is required for all travelers working in New Mexico; the process can take several weeks, so candidates should plan accordingly
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
\n
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated upon request
\n
• RTO requests must be for less than one week in duration
\n
• Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
\n
