Job Summary: The Healthcare HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the healthcare setting. This role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, compliance with healthcare regulations, workforce planning, and training development to support a high-performing and compliant healthcare workforce. This is a full-time, exempt, on-site position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruitment and Staffing
o Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified healthcare professionals.
o Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs.
o Oversee onboarding and orientation processes for new employees.
o Partner with staffing agencies and educational institutions for candidate pipelines.
• Employee Relations and Engagement
o Serve as the primary employee contact to respond to inquiries and questions on HR policies and practices.
o Provide guidance to managers and staff on employee relations matters.
o Foster a positive workplace culture that supports employee engagement and retention.
o Conduct investigations and resolve complaints related to workplace conflict or misconduct.
• Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
o Ensure compliance with labor laws, accreditation standards (e.g., CMS, HIPAA), and healthcare regulations.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of TN employment laws affecting healthcare operations.
• Compensation and Benefits
o Oversee salary administration, job classification, and market benchmarking.
o Coordinate open enrollment and educate employees about benefit options.
• Performance Management and Development
o Administer performance appraisal systems aligned with organizational goals.
o Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.
o Support leadership development and succession planning efforts.
• HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Reporting
o Maintain and manage HRIS systems for accurate employee records and reporting.
o Generate HR metrics and reports for leadership decision-making.
o Ensure data confidentiality and integrity.
• Health, Safety, and Employee Wellness
o Collaborate with occupational health and safety teams to promote employee well-being.
o Support workplace safety initiatives.
o Coordinate return-to-work programs and accommodation for injured employees.
• Strategic Planning and Organizational Development
o Contribute to organizational goals by aligning HR strategy with healthcare service delivery.
o Lead change management initiatives related to HR policies or structural changes.
o Participate in leadership discussions to advise on workforce planning.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive human resource experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare setting (acute care and/or emergency room) required
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations compliance, and
• industry best practices
• Ability to recruit and evaluate applicants using independent judgment and discretion
• Previous experience with Kronos Workforce Management or similar HRIS tool
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude, enthusiasm
• Proven ability to act with integrity, remain professional, objective, discrete and exercise sound judgement
• Ability to build strong relationships & collaborate with all members of the team.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to readily pivot from one task to another as required
• Strong computer skills, including above average proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Working Conditions:
• In-person and office-based
• Will require travel between local healthcare sites
• Involves interaction with clinical and non-clinical staff
