Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. The CMA will provide medical support to students and residents in our school and residential program, ensuring their health and well-being under the direction of licensed healthcare professionals. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, empathy, and collaboration to support our unique community.
Key Responsibilities
· Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following all safety protocols.
· Monitor and document students' and residents' health conditions, including vital signs and symptoms.
· Assist with routine medical procedures, such as G-Tube and J-Tube feedings, wound care, injections, immunizations, Mantoux tests and first aid.
· Coordinate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff to implement care plans.
· Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
· Support students and residents with daily health needs, including mobility assistance and personal care when necessary.
· Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
- Document patient information accurately, maintaining electronic health records (EHRs) in compliance with privacy regulations
- Ensure accurate medication preparation and administration techniques
· Collaborate with providers on discharge plans
· Maintain a clean and safe medical office environment, including sterilizing equipment.
Qualifications Required:
· Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential from an accredited program (e.g., AAMA, NHA, or equivalent).
· Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations, including children and young adults with special needs.
· Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
· Must have a driver’s license and be able to drive to residential locations.

Preferred:
· Experience working in a school, pediatric, or residential care setting.
· Knowledge of developmental disabilities or behavioral health.
· Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, ASL) are a plus.
Work Schedule
Multiple shifts available – Mornings, Evenings, and Weekends under the direction of licensed healthcare professionals.
