Location: Yakima, WA
Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Wage Range: $20 - $32 per hour (DOE)
Work Schedule: Monday Thursday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM

Reports To: Mitigation and Cleaning Department Manager/Lead
Remote Work: Not available this is an on-site position.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mitigation Technician to join our restoration team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for responding to property damage emergencies, including water, fire, mold, and storm-related incidents. This role requires quick thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to restoring properties efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency mitigation calls, including water extraction, fire damage cleanup, and mold remediation.
- Assess the extent of damage and develop an effective mitigation plan.
- Operate drying equipment such as dehumidifiers, air movers, and extraction tools.
- Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials when necessary.
- Conduct moisture readings and documentation for insurance claims.
- Follow industry best practices and safety guidelines for restoration and mitigation.
- Maintain and clean equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and customer interactions.
Qualifications:
- Experience in water, fire, or mold mitigation preferred (but we are willing to train the right candidate).
- IICRC certification (Water Restoration Technician, Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician, or Mold Remediation) is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (50+ lbs).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
