Homecare Aide On-Call

Job Overview
This is an On-call position.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated On-call Homecare Aides to provide essential support to clients in their homes. This role is crucial for ensuring the well-being and comfort of individuals who may require assistance with daily living activities. As a On-call Homecare Aide, you will be responsible for delivering personalized care while fostering a positive and supportive environment. 

Pay period is weekly, get paid every Friday.

For the On-call position you de get mileage reimbursement 1 way.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Implement care plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health status.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to enhance their quality of life.
• Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Monitor clients’ conditions and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with family members and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Negative TB test.
• Previous experience in homecare or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of care plans and medication administration is a plus.
• Familiarity with social work principles and practices is beneficial.
• Ability to cook healthy meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is an asset.
• Strong patient monitoring skills to ensure safety and well-being.
• Must be physically capable of performing heavy lifting as required by client needs.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for this role.
