Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Pool - VBH Acute Rehab Center/Weekends - Now Hiring

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant treats patients to maintain or restore maximum functional performance level. Under the supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist, administers occupational therapy treatments appropriate to diagnosis and to AOTA guidelines. Documents and charges for patient care services by charting in patient and department records according to federal, state, and local regulations. Protects patients, employees, and visitors by promoting infection-control and safety policies and protocols. Meets productivity standards. Ensures operation of equipment, follows manufacturer's instructions; troubleshoots malfunctions and reports the need for repair to supervisor. Supervises Rehab Aides, other support staff, and students Other duties as assigned. Required : Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Required Certification & Licensures: Occupational Therapy Assistant license by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
