Seasonal Painter Apprentice

Mavy Painting Inc. is hiring for a Seasonal Painter's Apprentice to join our growing team for the summer season!

Position is seasonal, however, talented workers that thrive in the company during the seasonal period may be considered for permanent employment

ABOUT THE JOB (including, but not limited to):

• Assist journeyman-level painters with correct surface treatment and material utilization on all interior and external surfaces.
• Assist painters with the coating process, proper coating techniques, and material selection.
• Use, clean, and manage all painting tools, such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, and pumps
• Store and identify all supplies in a secure environment

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must speak English
• High school diploma or GED
• ***Ability to repeatedly lift up to 80 pounds and the ability to conduct physical exercises is required
• ***Ability to work in high temperatures/outside in the environment
• Must be able to twist, stand, climb, or walk
• Must be able to utilize both manual and hand tools
• ***Must be comfortable with ladders/heights
• Must have a valid driver’s license AND reliable transportation
• Excellent planning and organization skills, as well as meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment and discretion in prioritization of tasks
• The desire to learn and eagerness to accept other tasks and learning opportunities as they present themselves
• Must have a positive attitude, display determination to go above and beyond expectations, be a team player, and non-confrontational
• Professionalism required at all times-in your appearance, in the way you carry yourself as an individual, and the way you speak to co-workers and clients
