Job Details:

\n

• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
\n• 12-hour variable shifts with majority of shifts running 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM, and 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM with occasional flex to 2:00 PM - 2:00 AM and 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM
\n• PM shifts may start at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
\n• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
\n• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
\n• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
\n• Minimum 5 years of experience required with at least 1 year of travel experience - FIRM
\n• Trauma Level II experience required
\n• EPIC charting experience required
\n• Pyxis medication dispenser experience required
\n• RNs are responsible for drawing labs and administering nebulizer treatments
\n• Work in an 18-bed Trauma Level II unit that is stroke certified and handles cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases
\n• Fast-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse
\n• Respiratory therapy and X-ray staff available on-site in the ED
\n• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
\n• Any color scrubs permitted
\n• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
\n• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

This hospital is a high-acuity facility featuring a Trauma Level II emergency department with 18 beds and comprehensive specialty services including stroke certification, cardiac, neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory care. The facility maintains advanced resources including in-house laboratory services, on-site respiratory therapy, and dedicated X-ray staff within the emergency department, supporting a fast-paced and dynamic care environment.
