Freight Handler

The Freight Handler is responsible for preparing and packing customer orders in a B2B fulfillment warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to company standards to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Unload finished goods from packing lines, stack boxes on shipping pallets according to company standards and safety guidelines.
• Ensure pallets are stacked securely and meet quality standards for weight distribution and stability.
• Organize items for efficient stacking and wrapping.
• Use a wireless scanner to scan item barcodes into the computer system and verify that scanned information matches system records.
• Safely and efficiently shrink-wrap completed pallets to prepare them for transportation.
• Load pallets onto trucks according to shipping schedules and delivery specifications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Efficiently manage time to meet daily processing demand.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications/Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 year of previous warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to operate an RF scanner
• Basic reading and math skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to stand of long periods
• Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50lbs
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safe working environment
