American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring ARRT or ARMRIT MR certification and Level I or Level II hospital experience.
Details\n- \n
- Acute care hospital setting within the Imaging/MRI department \n
- Level II Trauma Center with full diagnostic and surgical specialty services \n
- Weekend schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM \n
- On-call required Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM \n
- Uses PACS system for image storage and archiving \n
- May be required to work other shifts or at other campuses as needed \n

- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or approved equivalent required \n
- 1 year of hospital or clinical experience preferred \n
- Level I or Level II hospital experience required \n
- ARRT or ARMRIT MR certification required \n
- BLS certification required (AHA only) \n
- Basic computer experience required \n
- License required if applicable \n
- \n
- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced MRI imaging procedures \n
- Provide support to other imaging technologists to facilitate smooth patient flow \n
- Perform basic MRI screening of patients and employees for safety compliance \n
- Troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance and escalate malfunctions to Director/Manager or Biomedical personnel \n
- Participate in quality assurance and resolve issues related to image processing and archiving \n
- Act as a PACS Superuser, following downtime procedures and escalating issues to the PACS administrator as needed \n
- Participate in ongoing education and training related to safety and technical advances \n
- Work within a teaching facility affiliated with Texas A&M University System Health and Science Center College of Medicine \n
- Facility is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Accredited Joint Commission Stroke Team \n
- First-time travelers may be considered \n
- Returning employees must have a 6-month separation from any CHRISTUS facility prior to starting a new travel assignment \n
