Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented student worker to various departments with administrative and customer service-oriented tasks. This position offers a flexible work schedule designed to accommodate your academic commitments while providing valuable work experience. The student worker will assist with administrative tasks, projects, greeting and assisting students, and other departmental duties as needed.

Note to Luna Student Applying: These positions are for students enrolled in high demand CIP codes only. High demand CIP codes at Luna include all majors EXCEPT Liberal Arts, Vocational Technical AA, and General Science. If you are enrolled in any other major at Luna, you qualify!!

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide general administrative support, including filing, data entry, and office organization.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining department materials or resources.
• Help prepare documents, reports, and presentations.
• Answer phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries.
• Assist with event coordination and logistical tasks.
• Support team members with other tasks or projects as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to organizational policies.
• Greet and assist prospective and enrolled students
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Must be currently enrolled in Luna Community College in a high demand CIP code.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES

• Previous office or administrative experience (preferred but not required).
• Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
