GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
If you have a passion for history and an interest in museums, working for Wyoming State Parks and Cultural Resources might be for you! The Quebec 01 Missile Alert Facility is looking for seasonal employees. Located North of Cheyenne, on the great Wyoming prairie, Quebec 01 is a deactivated missile alert facility, operated by the U.S. Air Force from 1962 until 2004. As one of the newest historic sites in Wyoming, Quebec 01 boasts an intricate and amazing history. Come see for yourself just how awesome this site is!
The employment season is typically from mid-April to the end of September. Some seasonal positions may begin earlier in the year and/or extend longer into the fall. These are 40-hour/week seasonal positions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Present interpretive programs such as historical tours explaining the history of Quebec 01.
- Lead school tours, adult tours, and other institutional tours.
- Greet visitors, collect admission fees and gift shop fees, reconcile cash register at shift end, and assist with gift shop inventory
- Basic office duties such as answering phone messages and returning phone calls.
- Keep the site Superintendent advised of all issues with the site.
- Work with volunteers on various projects and duties.
- Basic housekeeping duties include dusting, arranging furniture, vacuuming, and cleaning public restrooms as needed.
- Basic outdoor duties such as snow shoveling and basic lawn maintenance.
- Assist the Superintendent with collections management as needed.
- Perform opening and closing duties.
- Assist all sites in the Laramie District with special projects and events as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required.
Position Duties
PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
For all seasonal positions, preference will be given to applicants who are professional while providing excellent customer service.
**Must have a valid driver's license.
**Must be at least 16 years of age.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and thorough in completing assignments/tasks.
- Good interpersonal skills allowing the ability to interact with visitors from around the world.
- Willingness to work on a variety of assignments every day.
- Experience in handling money, cash registers, and retail sales.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to manage and complete multiple projects with variable timelines and scopes of work.
- Basic construction and maintenance knowledge.
- Basic operational knowledge of light and heavy equipment use, as well as hand and power tools.
- Basic safety awareness of equipment use.

Minimum Qualifications
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
