CLEANER / MANUFACTURER HOUSEKEEPER - Full-time

Description

The Housekeeper/Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day manufacturing and office environment to ensure a clean, environmentally friendly atmosphere by withholding the company’s vision on the appearance of assigned areas. This position is very active and requires 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and reaching. This position is assigned a daily housekeeping routine with further in-depth cleaning tasks as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Attention to detail and surroundings.
• Experience using various types of cleaning equipment.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Your Role:

• Report to work regularly on time with a positive attitude.
• With little supervision, routinely perform all job tasks daily which includes cleaning all office and manufacturing plant offices, breakrooms, and kitchenettes. Tasks are: emptying trash, wiping down desks and furniture, vacuuming or sweeping and mopping, sanitize all door handles and knobs. All manufacturing plants and office restrooms require cleaning of toilets, sinks, mirrors and floors and replenishing toiletries.
• Weekly tasks include: cleaning smoking areas, office windows (indoor and out), refrigerators and freezers.
• Summer tasks include: making and serving Gatorade, popsicles, cooling clothes, and other miscellaneous items to help prevent heat-related illness.
• Inventory and maintain cleaning supplies, toiletries, and disposable paper supplies used in office and manufacturing breakrooms, lunchrooms, and bathrooms.
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
• Ensure your performance follows our quality standards.
• Work with SAFETY in mind always.

Requirements

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

• Work requires standing, lifting, and movement for 8-hour periods with designated breaks.
• Wear the required PPE: safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toe shoes, and gloves.
• Ability to tolerate noise, heat, cold, humidity, dust, and cleaning solvents.
