Position Summary:

The Behavior Technician plays a crucial role in implementing individualized ABA therapy programs for children with autism spectrum disorders. This position involves working in various settings, including after-school programs, homes, and community environments. The Behavior Technician will collaborate with families, therapists, and other professionals to ensure the successful implementation of treatment plans.


Responsibilities:

  • Program Implementation:
    • Consistently follow established ABA treatment plans, including implementing specific teaching procedures, behavioral interventions, and data collection methods.
    • Provide direct one-on-one therapy to children in various settings, including after-school programs, homes, and community environments.
    • Monitor and document client progress, using standardized data collection tools.
    • Collaborate with the clinical team to make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on client progress and data analysis.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Maintain open and effective communication with families, therapists, and other professionals involved in the client's care.
    • Attend and participate in team meetings, case reviews, and staff training sessions.
    • Provide regular updates on client progress to families and the clinical team.
  • Professional Development:
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance ABA knowledge and skills.
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards.
  • Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Accurately record and analyze data related to client behavior, progress, and treatment outcomes.
    • Use data to inform treatment decisions and monitor the effectiveness of interventions.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proof of TB test.
