Exam Proctor - Full-time / Part-time

Description

We are seeking Proctors to monitor various examinations on behalf of city government agencies and educational institutions. Candidates must be available to work all scheduled hours and attend mandatory Training and Exam Administration Day(s).

Special project schedule for Fire Department or Police Department Entry or Promotional Exams

• Training will be provided.
• Examination dates to be published.

Responsibilities:

1. Verify identification of candidates ensuring acceptable identification is presented and individuals are authorized to take the police exam.
2. Distribute exams and monitor exam booklets.
3. Assist with testing equipment
4. Maintain security of examination materials while in your possession or under your control
5. Check test takers in and out via computer
6. Direct test takers to various areas as required
7. Monitor test takers and environment in accordance with procedures outlined in training session.
8. Inform supervisor of any irregularities observed
9. Assist with administration of oral exams.
10. Collect completed exams
11. Assist with administration of Written Exams as directed in training.
12. No cell phones allowed in the Exam Administration area
13. Accurately use Electronic Check In and Check Out on Exam Administration Day to record hours worked
14. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree with passing skills assessment or at least 1 year of Previous Exam Proctor experience
• Computer literate
• Attentive to details
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Able to communicate effectively to relay instructions and explain procedures.
• Reliable – Commitment to work both days and arrive on time
• Excellent customer service skills, a professional demeanor
• Not affiliated with organization testing being conducted for.
• Final candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check
