Research Compliance Associate

Provides support to other compliance functions in the sciences./pp/ppstrongThis is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $28.14-35.19 per hour./strongbr/ph3Core Responsibilities:/h3ul liProvides direct support to the college’s Institutional Review Board (IRB), managing protocol submissions and conducting reviews of protocols./li liManages the IRB inbox, responding to requests for information and forwarding messages on for further review, as necessary./li liSchedules and coordinates IRB and IACUC committee meetings./li liAttends IRB meetings to provide technical support, guidance on regulatory matters and ethics, and to offer analysis of proposal content./li liProvides guidance on IRB committee requirements, including assistance with protocol modifications needed to secure approval, under the direction of the Associate Director for Research Compliance./li liAdministers required training programs on safety and compliance-related matters and maintains training records./li liWorks with Lab Stores and Safety Manager, Administrative Associate, and other members of the STSS Department on safety and compliance-related matters./li /ulpstrongRequirements/strong/pul liA Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and one year of experience working in a compliance area are required. nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; /li liExperience working in a human subject protection compliance position in a higher education setting is preferred.nbsp;/li liMust have the ability to express thoughts in a clear, concise, and professional manner, both verbally and in writing, to audiences with varying experience on compliance issues./li liExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and a strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and effectively with students, other staff, faculty, and administrators./li /ulp /ph3Physical Demands and Working Conditions/h3pWork is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards./pp/ph3Other:/h3pemOffer is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check./em/ppstrongBenefits/strong/ppa href="https://e.issuu.com/embed.html?d=institute_hr_field_guide_issuuamp;u=middleburyinstitute" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external"/a/ppAs an employee of Middlebury College, you will enjoy being part of a vibrant supportive community.
