To learn more about Atlanta Heights Charter School a href="http://www.atlantaheightscharterschool.org" target="_blank"uclick here/u/a./p pnbsp;/p pstrongWhy Choose Atlanta Heights Charter School:/strong/p pStrong, tenured leadership team with a proven track record./p pDedicated instructional coaches to provide valuable support to teachers./p pFocused on a collaborative approach to catering to the hearts and minds of all scholars./p pAcademically out performs both the Atlanta Area Schools and the state./p pRecognized and designated as Beating the Odds./p pAchieved 100 Points in Closing the Gap for Elementary and Middle School./p p style="margin-left:0in;"nbsp;/p pstrongDuties and Responsibilities:/strong/p pProvide direct and indirect occupational therapy services as outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Section 504 plans./p pConduct assessments of motor, visual-motor, and sensory-motor skills for students referred for special education evaluation to help determine eligibility for services.nbsp;nbsp;/p pParticipate in the IEP/Section 504 process, providing input on assessment measures, intervention strategies, and student progress./p pCollaborate as a member of the special education team to deliver comprehensive services to students with disabilities./p pConsult with teachers, school administrators, parents, and relevant stakeholders regarding students’ physical, motor, and sensory development./p pWork closely with teachers to integrate occupational therapy goals into the classroom environment and support classroom objectives through therapy programs./p pProvide training to relevant individuals on effective methods to assist students in mainstream settings./p pDevelop, implement, evaluate, and adjust occupational therapy interventions in collaboration with school staff and parents./p pUtilize treatment strategies involving physical, sensory, manual, creative, and recreational activities to support student development./p pDesign adaptive equipment and devices for individual students and classroom use./p pMaintain an accurate record of student caseload requirements and update the Special Education Administrator on any changes./p pMaintain a detailed schedule and service logs, and track student progress toward therapy goals./p pDemonstrate professionalism in handling confidential matters and materials./p pPursue ongoing professional development to stay informed about current practices and research in occupational therapy./p pParticipate in school initiatives such as screening programs to support student development./p pAttend parent-teacher meetings as needed to discuss student progress and therapy plans./p pPerform other job related duties as assigned by the buildingnbsp;nbsp;nbsp;principal/p pnbsp;/p pstrongQualifications:/strong/p pMaster's Degree/p pAmerican Occupational Therapy License/p pbr/iNational Heritage Academies is an equal-opportunity employer./i/p pnbsp;/p pnbsp;/p pnbsp;/p
