The Meat Clerk is responsible for washing, inspecting, and rotating all meat products, along with ensuring displays are stocked with new merchandise and ensuring expirations are up to date. The Meat Clerk must possess strong teamwork and customer service skills.br / br /strongESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/strong/div divbr /The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:br / br /* Work professionally as part of the team and provide excellent customer service;/div div* Verify prices, hang current sales signs, and removes out-of-date sales signs;/div div* Order and inventory required meats, seafood, and poultry;/div div* Sell products by providing customers with information needed to make product-related decisions;/div div* Ensure neat appearance of department and meat displays;/div div* Comply with sanitation and health guidelines.br /br /strongSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:/strong/div divbr /* Valid Food Handlers Card;/div div* Prior food preparer experience at a grocery store preferred;/div div* Must be friendly and people oriented;/div div* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.br / br /strongPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS:/strongbr / br /The physical demands and work conditions below represent those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
