Our hospice nurses collaborate with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide essential and quality care during the final stages of patients� lives. It is the expectation of Legacy Hospice that our employees communicate with compassion and empathy with their patients, families, and to the communities we serve./p pstrongQualifications:/strong/p ol liGraduate of an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program./li liThree years nursing experience. Community health/hospice or medical/surgicalbr / experience is preferred./li liCurrently licensed as an LPN/LVN in the State./li liComplies with accepted professional standards and practice./li liDemonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills./li liMust be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order./li liUnderstands philosophy of hospice concept. Also understands needs of the terminally ill./li liEffective social interaction, communication and organizational skills and the ability to perform a variety of tasks efficiently./li liPersonal car for travel and valid driver�s license./li liCarry personal auto liability insurance coverage./li /ol pOnce you join the Legacy family, you will proceed with our training program along with support and resources from our leadership team./p pWithin the first month, you will:/p ul liGet to know your team and become acclimated to the hospice philosophy./li liComplete online training with your team./li liShadow your team members to learn more about hands on hospice care./li liYour team member will then ride with you while you visit patients to allow opportunity to ask questions while you work./li liAfter a month of New Hire training, you will be ready to case manage your own patients!/li /ul pWe allow a flexible onboarding schedule to allow you to move at a pace that you are comfortable with.
