Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun - one week / Wed, Thu, Fri - the next week

PrideStaff Greenville is seeking a skilled and reliable Slitter Operator on behalf of our client in Spartanburg / Inman area.
We are searching for a dependable & knowledgeable Slitter Operator who will be responsible for operating slitter machines to cut materials into precise strips in a manufacturing environment. They are responsible for loading, unloading, and setting up machines, ensuring the finished product meets quality standards and adhering to safety regulations. They also perform basic maintenance and documentation.

 Slitter Operator Responsibilities include:

• Safely performing a combination of productions tasks, which will include:
• The set-up of jobs
• Reading and interpreting the production schedule
• Reading, and understanding work instructions and blueprints.

• Must also be proficient at complying with all quality testing and logging procedures.
• Responsible for training perspective new associates on safety, quality, housekeeping and other aspects of the production process
• Use forklifts and overhead cranes for moving and positioning rolls and products
• Commitment to safety and quality
• Follow all safety and quality policies

Slitter Operator Required Skills & Experience:

• 2 years of slitter experience preferred
• Forklift experience
• Ability to read production schedule, work order, and work procedures in English
• Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
• Mechanical aptitude. Ability to accurately measure
• Ability to train new associates
• Commitment to quality work
• Commitment to safety and quality. Follow all safety and quality policies
• Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance
• Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written)
