Facility Maintenance

SHORT DESCRIPTION (2): Responsible for maintaining and fixing mechanical equipment, building, and machines in a                                                                      manufacturing facility. 

 QUALIFICATIONS (2): High School or equivalent. 5+ years’ experience. Background, knowledge, experience with electricity a         

                                    plus.  Cherry picker lift certification needed. Working from heights with the use of scissor lift, ladders, etc.

1.      Performs general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds.

2.      Repairs and treats structures such as floors, sinks, walls, carpets, etc.

3.      Performs minor troubleshooting repairs and adjustments of sinks, toilets, locks on doors, cabinets, desks, closets; repairs door hinges, plumbing, electrical, etc.

4.      Monthly fire extinguisher and emergency light safety checks.

5.      Changes light bulbs and other items that require changing periodically

6.      Inspects equipment and or appliances on a regular basis as defined in preventative maintenance routines

7.      Reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party for action; moves and assists in moving furniture and equipment at various facilities/sites; sets up and breaks down cubicle partitions; exercises discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled crafts person;

8.      Flexibility is required to perform production and or warehouse duties on an as needed basis.

9.      Regular safety and Gemba walks to ensure employee and facility safety standards are met. 

10.   Additional needs from the engineering and production teams possible.

11.   Use and knowledge of a variety of tools, saws, drills, etc.

12.   Other tasks as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  This is a warehouse/production environment, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. May require the use of scissor lift, ladders, and working from heights. 

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES- No certifications needed. Forklift experience a plus. Previous experience in electrical a plus.
