American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Urbana, IL, requiring at least 1 year of L&D nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details\n

• Works in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
\n
• Cares for inpatient obstetric patients including labor, vaginal delivery, surgical delivery, and newborn care
\n
• Night shift: 7:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
\n
• Weekend shifts are required
\n
• No holiday shifts required
\n
• No floating requirements
\n
• 13-week contract
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
\n
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (all through American Heart Association)
\n
• Minimum 1 year of relevant L&D nursing experience required
\n
• ASN required; BSN preferred
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provides intrapartum care including fetal monitoring, obstetric medication administration, and patient education for the obstetric population
\n
• Completes patient admissions, develops and modifies individualized care plans, and documents nursing care accurately
\n
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
\n
• RTO is not to exceed 7 total days for the duration of the 13-week contract
\n
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system
\n
• Candidate selection involves a leader interview
