Surgical Pathologist OpportunityLocation: Carrollton, GA - Atlanta, 30mA need to provide pathology services for a five-hospital system in west Georgia and east AlabamaAn established health system in West Georgia is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Anatomical and Clinical Pathologist with fellowship training in surgical pathology or a relevant subspecialty. This opportunity offers a broad mix of general and oncologic pathology in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.Responsibilities: Sign-out of surgical pathology cases with emphasis in: Thoracic pathology Gastrointestinal pathology Breast oncologic pathology General surgical pathology Non-gynecologic cytopathology Interventional pulmonary rapid onsite evaluation (ROSE) Intraoperative consultation/frozen sections Active participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards Shared on-call responsibilitiesQualifications: Board certified or board eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) Completion of a surgical pathology or other subspecialty fellowship Eligible for or currently holding a valid Georgia medical license Both experienced pathologists and recent fellowship graduates are encouraged to applyPractice Environment: Collaborative pathology team with support from subspecialists Strong interdepartmental relationships and access to tumor boards Access to modern diagnostic tools and facilities Multihospital network with a patient population of nearly 400,000 across primary and secondary markets
