Sampson Regional Medical Center is looking for a Senior Clinical Analyst to join the IT Applications team!
Description:
The Senior Clinical Analyst serves as a vital liaison between clinical staff and the IT Department, supporting the implementation, maintenance, training, and optimization of clinical information systems under the guidance of the Director of Applications. In system implementation projects, the Senior Clinical Analyst acts as both Project Manager and Application Builder, serving as the single point of contact for all project-related issues.
This role involves the development and maintenance of policies, creation of end-user training and educational materials, and the direct support of users such as Physicians, Radiologists, Nurses, and other hospital departments. The Senior Clinical Analyst collaborates closely with third-party vendors, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and end-user satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
The Senior Clinical Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all services are delivered professionally, accurately, and on time, with a focus on customer satisfaction and measurable outcomes. They will track and report on the completion rate of delegated projects, and are expected to manage the day-to-day operations of their assigned applications. This includes providing consultative support to non-technical users and effectively managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Infromation Systems, Computer Science, Nursing (BSN), or a related clinical or technical field required.
- Master's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Health Infromation management, or Information Systems preferred.
- Direct experience with clinical systems such as Meditech, Epic, Cerner, eMDs, or other EHR platforms.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Experience with data reporting tools and clinical analytics.
- Must have strong organization and analytical skills. Clinical, technical writing, and business knowledge required of patient care.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
Hours:
Minimum of a 40-hour work week. Rotating weekly call required. Flex schedules and shift work are possible during implementation.
