Responsibilities

  • To perform preventive maintenance service, preventive maintenance inspections, safety checks, and minor corrective actions on equipment at external locations in line with Manager’s instructions

  • Responsible for contributing to productive customer relationships, as well as following Best Practices in all administrative and technical activities

  • The majority of the work will be performed in Swedesboro, NJ, however all field service work will be conducted in NJ/PA/DE and surrounding areas

  • Service Process

  • Accomplish scheduled preventive maintenance as prescribed by the service manual

  • Inspect, report findings, initiate quote based on findings, and then conduct service or repair as instructed by Service Manager

  • Submit regular reports in the format specified by Service Manager

  • Keep adequate records and maintain documentation in line with agreed standards

  • Technical and Product Knowledge

  • Staying up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and following technical courses when instructed by Service Manager applicable to equipment

  • Staying up to date with technical specifications of relevant equipment

  • Managing the Customer

  • Respond to Customer in a way instructed by the Service Manager to maximize customer satisfaction

  • Follow Customer Satisfaction Guidelines

  • Protect self and others

  • Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements

  • Alert Service Manager if equipment safety is jeopardized for any reason

  • Operate assigned service vehicle in compliance with DOT driving policy and relevant state/federal regulations

  • Responsible for keeping assigned service vehicle maintained to manufacturer standards with support from fleet management company

  • Respect and protect Quality SiR and third party's property (tools, vehicles, facilities, equipment) and business activities

  • Commercial Awareness and Cost Effectiveness

  • Plan and manage time and resources for maximum benefit of Quality SiR and the customer

  • Make judgements about the most cost effective and efficient approach to providing service

  • Maintain documentation to ensure accurate invoicing to the customer

  • Manage and protect the security and traceability of spare parts

  • Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to Service Manager

  • Continuous Improvement

  • Provide feedback to Service Manager to support continuous quality improvement
