pstrongPOSITION SUMMARY: /strongPromotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee and coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories, and supplies; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and grab n go items. Maintain and develop the highest level of guest relations. Manage all guest requests, complaints and queries and ensure that all aspects are communicated to the respective departments./p p /p pstrongPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:/strong/p ul liWelcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs./li liEducates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions./li liSells coffees and coffee grinding and brewing equipment by explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipment operates./li liPrepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, expresso, expresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino./li liGenerates revenues by attracting new customers; defining new and expanded services and products./li liMaintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar./li liKeeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs./li liMaintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations./li liImproves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar./li liUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks./li liEnhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments/li liActs as ambassador to the building, assisting Guests with all requests and answers questions as needed./li liGreets Guests with a positive attitude and enthusiasm while performing multiple job functions. Smiles and greets Guests upon entering. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action./li liProvides timely and accurate service while managing wait times and communicating information as needed to Guests, Team Members and Managers./li liCompetently diffuses difficult Guest situations while protecting the integrity and safety of our staff, building and house policies./li liChecks for restocking of necessary supplies.
