The selected candidate will provide our government, utility, commercial, private and not-for-profit clients with the services and solutions needed to efficiently and effectively manage natural resources and comply with policies. /p/div/divdiv style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"bJob Duties/b/H2 /divdivpThe Environmental Scientist/Specialist will provide our government, utility, commercial and not for profit clients with the services and solutions needed to efficiently and effectively manage natural resources, comply with policies and obtain regulatory permits. Job duties will include, but are not limited to:/p ul liUnderstanding the contract needs and specifications of clients and their customers and develop appropriate solutions./li liInspect a wide range of habitats, both natural and disturbed, and assess their condition, health and functionality according to client specifications./li liIdentify local species, understand their typical characteristics and recognize common diseases and pests./li liTrain and mentor teammates./li liWork more directly with clients./li liRepresent the company and the client at professional meetings./li /ul pSelected candidates will work independently and as part of a team. Applicants should be skilled in prescribed burn operations including writing burn plans, securing permits, and leading all field burn operations. The selected candidate will oversee a 3-6 person crew while completing prescribed burns. In addition the selected candidate may be involved with training employees in prescribed burn operations.
