This can include lifesaving treatments, monitoring vitals, checking O2 levels, and handling any situation that comes up./p pstrongDuties and Responsibilities/strong/p ul liThe main duties of an EMT at Life Ride include non-emergency transportation of patients to hospitals and other medical facilities, driving emergency vehicles safely, responsibly and quickly, and being responsible for patient care./li liMust wear and handle personal protective equipment and follow social distancing/CDC guidelines/li liMust be capable of lifting 100-150 pounds./li liMust be capable of working up to 12 hour shifts./li /ul pstrongOther essential duties and responsibilities for an EMT include:/strong/p ul liProvide first-aid treatment, such as bandaging wounds./li liProvide basic life support, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), when needed./li liAssess a patient’s conditions and provide initial treatment./li liDetermining if a patient needs to be transported to an ER or trauma center./li liWork 12-hour shifts in all weather conditions./li liCommunicating with additional dispatch resources such as ALS ./li liDocumentation of each call, such as timestamps, vitals, and patient condition is essential./li liEnsuring ambulances are fully stocked before and after each shift by conducting a thorough rig check./li liChecking and testing all ambulance equipment before and after each shift, including but not limited to, stretcher, sirens, emergency lights, blinkers, and oxygen./li liRestocking used supplies./li liChecking expiration dates on all supplies and medications./li liDisinfecting ambulances after calls./li /ul pstrongRegular reasons for transport include:/strong/p ul liEmergency Room Admissions/li liTransports to and from:/li liDialysis Centers Chemo Appointments/li liWound Care Appointments/li liGeneral Doctor Appointments/li liPsych Related Admissions/Transfers/li liDischarges/li /ul phttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhvATsdAznIamp;feature=youtu.be/p pJob Type: Full-time, Part-Time or Per Diem.
