Supports residents/patients to be as independent as possible./ppbr//ppstrongEssential Job Functions/strong:/pp• Promotes the mission, vision and values of SPRHC./pp• Provides support of daily living activities by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary and ambulating, transferring, turning, and positioning patients; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals; dressing; oral care; toileting; and general hygiene needs./pp• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; recording intake and output information./pp• Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor./pp• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records./pp• Ensures residents/patients are ready, clean and well-groomed and on time for special tasks, such as visits, physician appointments, etc./pp• Ensures that any resident/patient change of condition is reported promptly to the licensed nursing professional./pp• Assists in admitting and discharging patients/resident, including inventory of all possessions, etc./pp• Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures and regulations./pp• Completes daily and purposeful rounding that ensures patient/resident environment is clean and free of hazards. Assists with cleaning and organizing patient’s/resident’s room and property to ensure all patient/resident needs are being met./pp• Protects SPRHC’s value by keeping patient information confidential./pp• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining licensure./pp• Perform other functions as required to fulfill the expectations of the CNA./ppRequirements/ppRequirements/ppstrongMinimum Required Education/Experience/strong: High school diploma required. Certification with accredited training course through the State of Colorado for Certified Nurse Assistant. Previous work experience is preferred./ppbr//ppstrongPre-Employment Knowledge, Abilities and Skills/strong:/pp• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology./pp• Knowledge of relevant nursing care./pp• Friendly and professional bedside manner./pp• Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills./pp• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees and administration./ppbr//ppstrongNote/strong: An acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted./ppbr//ppstrongNecessary Special Requirements/strong: Must obtain annual flu vaccination and any job-specific immunizations.
