The Floor Care Technician plays a key role in maintaining a high standard of hygiene and safety throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations./p h3strongKey Responsibilities:/strong/h3 ul li pstrongFloor Cleaning and Maintenance:/strong/p ul liPerform daily floor cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and removing stains from carpets and hard surfaces./li liBuff, polish, and wax floors to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and shine./li liUse specialized floor care equipment, such as scrubbers, buffers, and extractors, to deep clean floors and carpets./li liPerform routine maintenance and minor repairs on floor care equipment to ensure its proper operation./li /ul /li li pstrongSafety and Compliance:/strong/p ul liFollow all facility safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE)./li liEnsure that floors are cleaned and maintained according to infection control guidelines, especially in high-traffic and healthcare areas./li liPlace safety signs and barriers around work areas to prevent slips, falls, and other hazards while cleaning./li /ul /li li pstrongCarpet Cleaning:/strong/p ul liPerform regular carpet cleaning, including vacuuming, spot cleaning, and deep extraction, to remove dirt, stains, and allergens./li liUse appropriate carpet cleaning chemicals and equipment to maintain the appearance and hygiene of carpeted areas./li /ul /li li pstrongFloor Buffing and Stripping:/strong/p ul liStrip, wax, and buff hard floors to restore shine and protect surfaces from wear and tear./li liApply floor finishes and sealers as needed to maintain the durability and cleanliness of floors./li liUse appropriate tools and chemicals to ensure that stripping, waxing, and buffing are done efficiently and safely./li /ul /li li pstrongInventory and Supply Management:/strong/p ul liMonitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment./li liNotify management when supplies need to be reordered and ensure that cleaning products are stored properly./li liEnsure that all equipment is cleaned and maintained after each use, reporting any damage or malfunctions to management./li /ul /li li pstrongCollaboration and Communication:/strong/p ul liWork closely with housekeeping staff, maintenance teams, and management to ensure that all floor care needs are met./li liRespond to requests for floor cleaning and maintenance services promptly and professionally./li liReport any maintenance or safety issues observed during floor care duties to the appropriate department./li /ul /li /ul h4Qualifications/h4brul listrongEducation:/strong High school diploma or equivalent is preferred./li listrongExperience:/strong Previous experience in floor care or environmental services is preferred, but not required.
