pDescription/ppEnvironmental Services Aides are employed by Jani King not Jackson Parish Hospital. Candidates filling this position will be contract workers for Jackson Parish Hospital.nbsp;/ppbr//ppThe Environmental Services Aide completes cleaning tasks and ensures the trash and linen duties are carried out as assigned. The Environmental Services Aide maintains a positive customer service attitude toward patients, families, and visitors and greets all guests in a friendly manner./ppESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITES:/pulliPerforms housekeeping assignments/duties that require heavy lifting such as but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and sanitizing equipment, to maintain established standards of cleanliness and productivity./liliEnsure that work cleaning schedules are complete before end of shift./liliDispose of trash in appropriate containers./liliClean up spills as soon as possible/liliHave appropriate signs in place warning of wet floors, etc./liliTreats patients and their families with respect and dignity.nbsp;/liliAttends department meetings and educational in-services to maintain professional competency. Obtains appropriate hospital-specific education and training when necessary or required./liliResponds to all emergency situations within the facility and follows appropriate hospital procedure./liliAdheres to all Jackson Parish Hospital policies, procedures, safety plans, and all standards imposed by regulatory organizations./liliWear PPE as required./liliRegular attendance and timeliness is required. Unexcused absences will not be tolerated./liliAdheres to department and hospital dress code policy and procedure.nbsp;nbsp;/liliPerforms all/any additional duties as assigned by the department manager/supervisor./li/ulpThis description is a general statement of required essential functions performed on a regular and continuous basis.
