If you’re ready to enhance your technical skills and contribute to a collaborative healthcare team, we encourage you to apply today and be part of UPMC’s commitment to excellence in patient care./p p data-start="1055" data-end="1402" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""emQualifying evening and weekend hours have a $4/hr shift differential on top of base pay./em/p p data-start="1055" data-end="1402" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""emstrongQualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000./strong/em/p pbResponsibilities:/b/p ul liIdentify all patients properly by using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures./li liReview patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results in the acquisition of data and document patient history in electronic record as required./li liAdminister PO and rectal contrast per physician orders/department policy/li liEnsure all exams within his/her area of responsibility are properly coded and tracked through RIS system, all exams are properly networked to ISITE for archiving and interpretation, and all charges are adequately entered for the exams performed./li liPerform diagnostic radiography procedures utilizing established protocols/procedures without requiring constant supervision./li liUtilize complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, manipulation, and documentation of image data and complete procedures according to protocol./li liDemonstrate a strong ability to interact with both patients and co-workers while displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity and respect./li liAble to work as team member within the department and all other departments to expedite patient care efficiently./li liPerform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement to adjust protocols and show initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic radiography purposes./li liDemonstrate the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patients' fears and solicit their cooperation./li /ulbr pstrongRequired:/strong/p ul liGraduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification from ARRT approved school of completion of program and scheduled graduation date./li liTechnologists hired before graduation will have indirect supervision by an ARRT certified diagnostic technologist until the degree is verified./li liTechnologist cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT has been obtained./li /ul pbLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:/b/p ul liARRT Registry eligible as a Radiologic Technologist./li liMust obtain radiography registry within 6 months of hire date as of January 1, 2025./li liDiagnostic Technologists hired prior to January 1, 2025, will need to obtain their registry within 12 months of hire/transfer date./li liCPR or BLS Required./li liCPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire./li liTechnologist cannot work in an outpatient setting until ARRT has been obtained./li liIf working in a NY facility, you must have received certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and be Licensed through the New York State Department of Health./li liARRT Certificate/li liBasic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/li /ul pbUPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran/b/p
