ASL Interpreter | Arlington Heights, Illinois

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Sign Language Interpreter opportunity is available to support K-12 students in a vibrant school setting located in Arlington Heights, IL, with assignments also serving Burlington, IL, and surrounding areas. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, beginning early August 2025 through early June 2026, offering 32.5 to 35 hours per week in alignment with the school calendar. Candidates must work on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide proficient sign language interpretation services for students, staff, and families in a classroom environment
• Collaborate with educational teams to support individualized student munication needs
• Manage assigned caseload with attention to scheduling and service consistency
• Maintain professional standards of confidentiality and ethics in all munications

Qualifications:

• Must hold Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) approval as a Sign Language Interpreter or hold a minimum of a 3.0 EIPA or higher for temporary approval eligibility
• Experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and support staff
