Educational Interpreter - Joliet, Illinois

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A professional opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter serving K-12 educational settings in the Rockford, IL area, including surrounding munities. This position requires on-site presence and offers a contract duration from August 4, 2025, through June 6, 2026, with a weekly mitment ranging between 32.5 to 35 hours, aligned with the school calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality sign language interpreting services to students and staff within a K-12 school environment.

Qualifications:

• ISBE Approval as a Sign Language Interpreter is required; a minimum score of 3.0 on the EIPA test can qualify for temporary approval.

• Previous experience interpreting in K-12 schools preferred.
• Availability to work in-person throughout the contract period.
