Job Title: Senior Technical Manager, Data Quality Engineering
Location: Dublin, OH (Hybrid 3 days per week in office)
Employment Type: Full-Time Employee
We're building something that lasts and we need a technical leader who's in it for the long haul. As our Senior Technical Manager, you'll lead a team of skilled engineers focused on building scalable, reliable systems that keep our data clean and trustworthy across the enterprise.
You won't just lead the team you'll help set the vision, define the technical roadmap, and mentor engineers as we modernize our data architecture and embed data quality into everything we do.
What You'll Own:Lead from the Front: Drive the architecture and development of scalable, cloud-native microservices that power enterprise grade data validation and integrity.
Define the Roadmap: Set technical direction for the team, shaping the future of our data pipelines with modern patterns, tools, and practices.
Build the Right Culture: Promote a high performance engineering culture centered on collaboration, code quality, and continuous learning.
Modernize at Scale: Lead cloud transformation efforts using Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines to containerize, automate, and monitor everything.
Mentor and Grow Talent: Coach senior engineers and architects through design reviews, pair programming, and hands on technical leadership.
Drive DevOps Excellence: Champion test driven development, infrastructure as code, and observability tooling to keep our systems reliable and resilient.
Think Long-Term: Make strategic build vs. buy decisions, guide platform modernization initiatives, and future proof our architecture.
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 5+ years in a technical leadership or management role
- Proven track record of designing and scaling microservices and distributed systems in cloud environments
- Deep understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data validation frameworks
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Apache Spark, and Kafka, with the ability to guide design for large scale, high throughput data processing systems
- Hands-on familiarity with NoSQL data platforms like Cassandra, HBase, or similar distributed stores
- Strong programming skills in modern backend languages like Java, Python, or Go
- Hands on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Comfortable designing architecture diagrams and technical solution documents. This role is less "hands on keyboard," more "hands on direction and design"
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices at scale
- Solid knowledge of system architecture, software design patterns, and performance tuning
- Exceptional communication skills: you can lead architectural conversations and translate technical decisions for non technical stakeholders
- Passion for mentoring, growing teams, and creating a culture of engineering excellence
Experience integrating GenAI or large language models into production environments
Background in event driven architectures or real time data streaming
Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
Master's degree in a related field (CS, Engineering, etc.)
We're in the middle of a major transformation modernizing legacy systems, embedding AI into our workflows, and building out a data quality foundation that will scale with the company. As a technical leader, you'll have the runway to grow, the autonomy to innovate, and the support of a team that's invested in building something meaningful.
This is a chance to leave your fingerprint on systems that will power the future of our business.
