💼 Job Overview
As a Mammography Technologist, you will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures to detect breast abnormalities while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires independent judgment, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to patient care.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Perform screening & diagnostic mammography exams
- Conduct advanced procedures including:
- Stereotactic biopsies
- Clip placements
- Drainage procedures
- Ensure accurate patient identification & order verification
- Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Follow ALARA radiation safety standards
- Educate patients on breast self-examinations
- Maintain accurate documentation per JCAHO & state regulations
🛠️ Required Skills
- Strong patient positioning competency
- Experience with radiologic mammography imaging
- Knowledge of breast health education
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical ability: standing, walking, lifting, pushing/pulling
⭐ Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in Mammography or Imaging
- Experience with advanced breast procedures
🎓 Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: Minimum 1+ year Mammography experience
📜 Certifications & Licensure
- ✅ ARRT (R) – Required
- ✅ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification (M) – Required
- ✅ Utah State Radiology License – Required
- ✅ BLS (AHA) – Required
- ✅ Must meet ACR / FDA / MQSA requirements
- ⚠️Radiation Badge (Dosimeter) Required
