American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week outpatient assignment, requiring 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.
Details- Outpatient clinic setting in an MRI department
- Performs general MRI examinations including implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac MRI
- Uses Siemens MRI equipment; Sectra PACS experience preferred
- Charting in Epic; experience preferred
- Primary schedule is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 12:30 PM–9:00 PM, with flexibility to accommodate 4x10 or 3x12 schedules
- Some Saturdays required (8:00 AM–4:00 PM); weekly hours remain at 40 regardless of Saturday assignment
- No on-call requirement
- May float between two outpatient locations
- Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; state license required if applicable
- Experience with general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI
- Siemens MRI equipment experience required
- SSN and driver's license required for consideration
- Radiation dosimetry badge must be provided by the candidate's agency — the facility does not supply badges to travelers
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Previous MUSC permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the MUSC system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration; approval is subject to manager and unit needs
- Orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
