American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 1+ year of experience, ARRT (R)(M) certification, and ACR FDA/MQSA compliance for a travel assignment in Murray, UT
Details- Mammography department in an acute care hospital setting
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with 2 Saturdays during the contract
- 40 hours per week
- Procedures include standard mammographic exams as well as advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainage procedures
- Charting performed in Epic
- Minimum 1 year of experience in mammography or imaging
- ARRT (R)(M) certification required
- Current UT state Rad Tech license required (license required if applicable)
- ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification required
- Must meet and maintain ACR FDA/MQSA mammography-specific requirements
- Current AHA BLS certification required (must not expire prior to start date)
- Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required for this assignment
- High school diploma or GED required
- DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
- Proficiency in radiation protection and ALARA program compliance
- Physical requirements include lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, speaking, standing, and walking
- Performs radiographic mammography procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images for detection of breast tissue abnormalities
- Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation prior to exams
- Educates patients on breast self-examination by answering questions and providing written materials
- Maintains records in accordance with JCAHO and Utah State Bureau of Radiation Control requirements, including time stamps and image storage
- Operates mammographic equipment independently, selecting appropriate techniques to produce diagnostic-quality images
- Candidates who are or have been permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
