Prefabrication Shop Helper

American Mechanical, inc. (AMi) is currently seeking a Prefabrication Shop Helper. This position is perfect for someone who would eventually like to learn how to do sheet metal fabrication. The qualified applicant will be able to:

stand for long periods of time
work in all elements which depends on job location and time of the year
lift up to 50 lbs.
load or unload flatbed truck with a forklift and or by hand
have the ability to work with all types of power and hand tools safely and effectively
assemble orders
receive incoming shipments
handle light maintenance in the prefabrication shop and around the office
maintain prefabrication shop cleanliness, order, and safety
wash fleet vehicles
inspect and maintain fleet vehicles, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition
do any other tasks deemed necessary in the support of the company

When not engaged in main duties listed above, the qualified applicant will also:

deliver or pick up material, equipment, or parts from job-sites
obey traffic laws
read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions
use and follow a navigation system
operate a smart phone

Minimum Experience Required: Entry Level
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or GED
Required: Must have a clean driving record
