Schools - Social Worker

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Social Worker position is available for the current school year at a K-12 school in Washington, DC. This contract role requires a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) to provide support and services to students, families, and school staff from the start of the assignment through the end of the school year.

Location: Washington, DC (NE neighborhood)

Duration: Full School Year (ASAP to End of School Year)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of student social and emotional needs
• Collaborate with educators and families to develop intervention plans
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention services
• Connect students and families with community resources
• Maintain accurate records and documentation compliant with school policies
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success

Required Qualifications:

• Active Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) credential
• Experience working in school settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage with diverse student populations and stakeholders
• Knowledge of child development and school social work practices
• Capacity to manage caseload efficiently and maintain confidentiality
