Job Description
Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An educational setting in Lowell, MA is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year. This contract position will serve a middle school caseload, working with students in grades 5 through 8.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language support and intervention services to a caseload of 15-20 middle school students
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and educational staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist in monitoring student progress and documenting therapy sessions
- Support communication development goals to enhance student learning and participation in the classroom
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working with middle school students or in an educational environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and maintain confidentiality
- Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment
Location: Lowell, MASchedule: Full-Time, School Year Contract
