Entry Level Diesel Mechanic $20 - $25

Job Summary

Based out of Exeter / Pittston Pennsylvania, Kuharchik Construction is looking for an individual who has entry level experience with Diesel Trucks, repairs and maintaining our truck fleet and experience with body work and fabrication.

Required Skills / Abilities and Job Description:

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged/worn parts on a variety of utility trucks and equipment such as bucket trucks, diggers and hydraulic systems.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs.
• Submit all work and repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs are accurate through Fleet Maintenance Software.
• Must be a team player, creative, dedicated, and take responsibility of repair work.
• Entry Level knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Entry Level knowledge with related computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Perform all duties in accordance with best practices in mind for a safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Entry level experience with diesel, medium or heavy truck and equipment.
• Entry level mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and trucks.
• Basic computer skills.
• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Current CDL A is preferred but not a requirement
• Must have own tools.
• Physical effort to move objects and tools. Frequent stooping, bending, squatting and kneeling as well as a high level of dexterity.
