Operating Technician

General Duties:

• Ensuring consistent basic quality standards and procedures.
• Strive to meet KAAP performance goals & requirements for work area.                               
• Ensures equipment utilization is at a maximum operational availability.                                              
• Works directly with maintenance to ensure equipment up time.                                                                
• Promotes, maintains, and enforces safe and healthy working conditions for themselves and other KAAP employees in accordance with regulatory requirements and Company standards.             
• Assist in the preparation of daily production reports and maintain appropriate records.                  
• Ensure all SOP are followed and not deviated from.         
• Other duties as assigned by leadership team

Skills:

• Understanding and utilization of 5S concept.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.                       
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment 
• Ability to solve practical problems and troubleshoot equipment issues.

Requirements:

• High school degree or GED equivalency.
• Must be willing to work a (4 Star) 12-hour shifts (willing to work every other weekend and some holidays). Shifts are either 5:00 AM to 5:10 PM or 5:00 PM to 5:10 PM. 
• Able to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods, to include but not limited to: lifting, walking, standing, stooping, pulling, and pushing.
• Willing to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations; including wearing personal protective equipment.
• Willing to work in the elements.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred. 
• Good interpersonal skills & Communication skills preferred.
