Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to join a dynamic surgical team at an outpatient center. This role supports a wide range of surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and providing vital assistance to the surgical staff throughout operations.
Position Overview
The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preoperative preparation, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative duties as assigned. This position ensures that surgical instruments, equipment, and the environment are sterile and functioning optimally to support safe and efficient procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile field prior to procedures
Assist in patient transport and identification verification
Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control practices
Ensure cleanliness and organization of operating room and equipment
Support clinical staff with supply management and medication handling
Provide assistance in pre-op and post-op areas as needed
Accurately document services and maintain equipment logs
Adhere to HIPAA standards and safeguard patient confidentiality
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, lifting, and moving equipment (up to 65 lbs)
Exposure to operating room conditions, including proximity to chemicals and mechanical hazards
Occasional need to wear PPE such as gowns, gloves, and masks
Frequent use of fine motor skills and physical dexterity

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
National certification preferred within one year of hire
Minimum one year of recent operating room experience preferred
