JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

Surgical Technician

CST

Full-Time

Surgical Technician candidates will have the following minimum job responsibilities:

• You will be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department in the scrub role.
• You will be experienced in all aspects of aseptic technique, setting up the required equipment and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases; pulling cases as needed; and breaking down cases at the end of the procedure.
• You may come in contact with medications and therefore must demonstrate an understanding of proper medication management and storage as well as maintaining a secure medication environment.
• You will act as a preceptor, resource, and mentor for new staff members, surgical technician students, and existing staff.
• Types of Services: Neuro, Ortho, CV, Vascular, Plastics, Robotics, General, Spine, Bariatrics, Hybrid OR, GYN, Urology

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-

Surgical Technician candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• Accredited Program Preferred: Surgical Technology or recognized course of training as a Surgical Technologist
• 1 year Preferred: Experience as a surgical technologist in a full-service operating room
• Required: Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply age specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs
• Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support
• Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist

Compensation: $32.03 - $48.05/hour
