Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) serving elementary-aged students in the Grand Blanc, MI area. This role focuses on providing essential speech therapy services to an average caseload of 40-50 students, with placements ideally within a single school building to minimize travel. Some flexibility may be required, with the possibility of sharing time between two buildings to best support all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for elementary-aged students.
- Deliver therapy tailored to meet each student's unique communication needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to promote student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on student progress.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and district guidelines.
- For Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates, coordinate supervision and mentorship by a Certified Clinical Competence (CCC) Speech-Language Pathologist.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP certification or licensure relevant to school settings.
- Credentials may include Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or School SLP certification.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
- Ability to manage caseloads averaging 40-50 students.
- Willingness to collaborate with educators and families.
- For CFY candidates, availability of a CCC-certified mentor for supervision is necessary.
Location:
- Grand Blanc, MI work performed primarily in one or two school buildings as needed.
