Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiology Technician to join our fast-paced healthcare environment. This position will combine diagnostic imaging with patient care responsibilities, requiring a flexible and reliable individual to provide excellent clinical support to both patients and healthcare providers.

The ideal candidate will be able to operate radiologic equipment to perform X-rays, while also assisting with obtaining patient vital signs and medical histories, supporting healthcare providers in a primary and urgent care setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment for testing, adjust immobilization devices, move equipment, and adjust exposure to get the proper results
• Perform X-ray imaging procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and quality
• Thoroughly document all patient services within a patients chart
• Maintain all equipment, troubleshoot problems as needed, and call in for repairs when necessary
• Follow all safety protocols, including the use of lead shielding and radiation safety guidelines.
• Greet and prepare patients for their appointments, gathering accurate medical histories and vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight).
• Assist healthcare providers with exams, procedures, and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare and manage patient specimens for lab work.
• Administer injections and other procedures, as directed by healthcare providers.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with medical charting desired
• Strong attention to detail
